General Motors (GM) is recalling specific 2020-2023 Cadillac CT4 and CT5; 2021-2023 Buick Envision; and 2022-2023 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles. The daytime running lights (DRLs) may remain active when the headlights are on, which violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108. This issue can lead to glare, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.

GM is recalling certain 2020-2022 Cadillac CT4 and CT5 vehicles. The roof rail side-curtain airbags may not have been properly installed, potentially leading to improper airbag deployment in a crash. Faulty deployment of the airbags increases the risk of injury.

GM is recalling certain 2021 Buick Envision, Cadillac CT4, CT5, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Tahoe, Corvette, Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles. A defect in the communications gateway module may cause inconsistent processing of a loss of communication with the sensing diagnostic module (SDM). This could result in the airbag malfunction indicator light failing to illuminate correctly, increasing the risk of injury by not alerting drivers to airbag issues.

GM is recalling certain 2020 Chevrolet Corvette, Cadillac CT4, CT5, XT4, 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer, and 2020-2021 Buick Encore GX vehicles. Contamination in the electronic brake boost system’s sensor connection may interrupt communication, resulting in the loss of electronic brake assist. This would require increased pedal effort to slow or stop the vehicle, increasing the crash risk.
